Self-forgiveness

An apology for the wrong doing of another doesn't always yield forgiveness. I have learned in cases where I've apologized to others, I too had to apologize and forgive myself. I don't know if it's human nature or an intentional act but those who have been hurt will continuously hold you where you have wronged them. They too must forgive themselves to allow healing to take place. Living in a mistake isn't how we correct them. In fact it's how we repeat them. However, taking accountability for our role in the issue is the first step to gaining control of the problem and then you can move on to develop a resolution. Lesson: Not everyone will forgive you. However don't give control of your future over to your past mistakes. Identify the issue, face the issue and do not run from it. Approach with an open mind, placing no blame and begin developing a plan to grow forward... #LetsTakeFlight
